10 Ways to Help Your Visitors Trust You!

Your ability to convert online visitors into paying customers is largely tied to how comfortable you can make your visitors feel visiting your website.

It is well worth your time and effort to work at developing a high level of trust. I won't pre-empt this list with a claim of 10 easy ways to accomplish this; but they aren't the most difficult things to accomplish either.

  1. Company Information: Provide plenty of information about your business. Information about the people running the business, company history, policies, and procedures go along way to building trust.
  2. Security: Make sure that your website offers the appropriate level of security; particularly if you are collecting personal information. Display the appropriate icons and logos demonstrating the security provided on your website.
  3. Customer Service: Respond promptly to all inquiries and provide multiple and easy means of communication. There is nothing that creates a feeling of distrust more than a website with no contact information.
  4. Delivery Options: Provide a variety of delivery options and let your customers decide how they prefer to have their purchase delivered to them.
  5. Detailed Product Information: Provide detailed, accurate and appropriate information about the products you are offering for sale.
  6. Quality Products: Offer well known quality products. If you are offering lesser known products to keep pricing down, consider offering a money back guarantee.
  7. Testimonials: Include a page on your website with testimonials from happy customers. Testimonials that go into some detail about why they are so happy are more valuable. Consider displaying photographs of the person giving the testimonial.
  8. Return Policy: Clearly state your return policies and make sure they reflect your confidence in the quality of your product offering.
  9. Discounted Prices: Offer discounts to help your customers make the buying decision. Be aware that if you over do it and offer many and frequent discounts people will start to think that you are overcharging.
  10. Live Support: Offer live support to assist customers in placing orders and tracking orders once they have been placed.

Take your time and develop your website with your customer in mind. People are willing to purchase products online, make it easy for them to trust you and your sales will climb.

Get to Know Your Neighbors*

BigBoysBid.com This online auction website is geared for the motor sports enthusiast. The auction works like other online auctions with some key differences. It is a true auction; there are no 'buy now' features turning this website into an online store. Another difference is the niche market that it meets; list your boats, snowmobiles, ATV's, dirt bikes, motorcycles, racecars and related equipment. What you can't list for sale is everything else.

Additional Links of Interest *

bored.com  This is a website with a variety of activities to peak your interest and chase away those yawns.

wikipeadia.com  An online encyclopedia that is populated with information from you and me. You can add and edit entries, an interesting idea.

* By providing these links we are not endorsing the services or products being offered. We are only offering links to other websites that may be of interest to you
